Joy of ownership could not be bettered advertised than after the success of Ask Dillon for a three-man partnership seduced by trainer Fergal O'Brien to buy their first horse.

Mark Craze, Simon Grice and Hekmat Kaveh not only cheered home their five-year-old and Paddy Brennan in the eventmasters.co.uk maiden hurdle, but availed themselves of the 16-1 - which might explain the 12-1 starting price.

Craze, who along with Grice works in advertising, said: "We live near Cheltenham and were at the November meeting last year, and thought it was about time we had a horse.
