While many trainers are holding their nerve during the prolonged dry spell, Paul Webber is busy plotting fun in the snow early next year with New Agenda, who returned to winning ways in the 2m handicap hurdle.

The trainer said: "It's an idea we have come up with as we might get a little syndicate up to take him to the international meeting in St Moritz in February, and contest the Gold Cup over there. It’s a mile and a half on the flat around a right handed circuit, which suits him well.

"The race is worth 120,000 Swiss francs and it could be a lot of fun for everyone concerned. If he takes to it, I'm sure he would certainly not be disgraced as he handles these tight courses well as now three of his four career wins have been at Huntingdon and Ludlow."
