National Anthem had new owners and trainer David Brown singing his praises after the well-backed favourite enjoyed his third win at Southwell this year.

Steve Bolland and Clive Watson – who were part-owners of classy Doncaster Rover in the same red and white hooped colours –purchased the five-year-old after defeat at Newcastle this month.

Doncaster Rover won the Lily Agnes at Chester under Frankie Dettori 12 years ago, and National Anthem could try to win round the Roodee this summer.
