Murphy's 730km round trip pays dividends thanks to 103-1 double

It is a 730km round trip from John Murphy's stable in the Cork town of Upton to Dundalk but the journey home would have felt a lot shorter than the four-hour trek to the track after he registered a 103-1 double.

Aubineau made it tenth time lucky in the 7f apprentice handicap under Danny Redmond, before newcomer 12-1 shot Point Taken made a winning debut in the 1m2f maiden under Colin Keane.

Point Taken's last-gasp lunge was an expensive one for in-running players as the runner-up, Dawn Trouper, hit the basement price of 1.01 before going down by a short head.
