A day after Hayley Turner made a winning return to the saddle at Windsor, the man she rode two top-level winners for in her pomp urged the BHA to strongly consider introducing a riding allowance for females in Britain similar to the one which has been well received in France.

Having watched Another Eclipse waltz away with the 1m2f maiden under Jamie Spencer, Simcock reflected on Turner’s success on her first ride under rules of 2017 the previous evening and the bigger picture.

“She's been very good to me and rode me two Group 1s and she’s very, very capable, so why shouldn’t she come back?” said Simcock.
