The final meeting of the year on the Rowley Mile was billed as 'Bonfire Night' and it was Irish raider True Self who provided the fireworks when landing a gamble in the Listed James Seymour Stakes.

Pre-race confidence was high in the five-year-old mare who was giving Willie Mullins his second winner at the track, just three weeks after his first when Low Sun landed the Cesarewitch.

A nine-strong turnout from the successful Three Mile House Partnership crossed the Irish Sea to cheer home the 6-4 favourite, who was a first winner at the venue for Irish champion jockey Colin Keane.
