Neil Mulholland brought two of his stable stars to Cheltenham's first Saturday meeting of the season and it was a case of anything you can do I can do better as first Fox Norton and then exciting novice Shantou Village recorded wide-margin victories.

It was a more impressive performance by last season's disappointing Albert Bartlett favourite than the four-length margin suggested as he breasted the fence at the top of the hill and Mulholland said: "It's been a great day. We were only in two races. We were hopeful coming here this would happen but I had two fallers yesterday from three runners and I've probably not had two fallers in the last six months, so you can never be certain."
