An 8lb rise proved no barrier for Vincent Halley's Mr Picotee as the gelding carried weight and the favourite's tag to victory in the Slaney Handicap Hurdle at Wexford last night.

An impressive winner at Kilbeggan this month, the 15-8 shot was left out in front when his main rival Magna Cartor came down at the last.

Mr Picotee had that one already covered, and was impressive as he went on to record back-to-back wins under Andrew Lynch.
