Moore turns up heat as plans build for emerging star

The warm weather may have been unseasonal but winners on the south coast are not for Gary Moore, whose emerging star Ar Mad is on course to return from injury in the Tingle Creek next month.

Moore snared a double at one of his local tracks but it is Sandown, the scene of Ar Mad’s Grade 1 Henry VIII Novices’ Chase last season, that is coming into view.

A fracture has kept the six-year-old off the course since a win at Plumpton in February but Josh Moore, who rode Ar Mad to all four of his wins last season, saidd: “We’ve upped his work and with a bit of rain we'll be schooling him.
