Moore off the mark to give owner first British win in 30 years

Ryan Moore rode his first British winners since October when completing a short-priced double on Remember Me and Earthly, his only rides on the card.

The wins, in a fillies' and mares' handicap and a median auction maiden, were low-key and relatively insignificant for the Longines World's Best Jockey, but Remember Me's success had considerable significance for her owner, while Earthly was a first winner of the year for Ralph Beckett after a frustrating run of seconds and thirds.

Moore, who had partnered two seconds on his return last week, agreed Remember Me "made quite hard work of it", but it was a massive thrill for owner Julie Parkes.
