Ante-post betting suggests it may well not be necessary but Ryan Moore showed he is as strong as ever on the eve of the Racing Post Trophy.

He will be on board hot favourite Yucatan in the final Group 1 race of the British season – his mount having been all the rage in the betting in the last 48 hours.

Punters who joined in the plunge will know their fancy will lack for nothing in assistance from the saddle judged by the way Moore got Mirage Dancer home in division two of the 7f maiden.
