If you're heading up to Hamilton with a fancied runner, relying on Joe Fanning is a pretty good plan and it certainly worked for Chris Kellett, who broke new ground by landing the 5f handicap with Kodimoor.

The Lancashire trainer watched the track’s leading jockey ride his 50th winner here in the last five seasons as he made all on Mark Johnston’s Jive Lady in the opener, then helped him take it to 51 with 9-2 shot Kodimoor.

"Joe’s a great fellow and rides Hamilton very well,” Kellett said.
