Mohaather gives Dewhurst winner Marcus Tregoning belated first juvenile success

He's one of the last three British trainers to win the Dewhurst Stakes but it took until three days before that race for him to have his first two-year-old winner of 2018.

And Marcus Tregoning had to wait for the outcome of a three-way photo-finish and ascertain that a stewards' inquiry did not concern his Mohaather before being sure he was off the mark.

"It's a bit unusual but I don't have a huge amount of two-year-olds, only 18," said the man who won the Dewhurst with future Derby winner Sir Percy in 2005.
