Lingfield's pair of trials provided two interesting winners, and it was good to see they aren't housed in the stables of the usual suspects for the Classics.

Clive Cox is in terrific form at present, with seemingly all his runners winning or going close. Perfect Clarity is now two from two after winning the Oaks trial, and it was a pleasing performance.

She made up ground from off the pace nicely and then had more than enough stamina to hold off Cecchini by a length and a quarter.
