Ok by name, Ok by nature. It was by no means a faultless first effort over fences, but Ok Corral won his first chase start cosily enough by two-and-a-quarter lengths after surviving a bad blunder.

Second in last season's Albert Bartlett, the JP McManus-owned eight-year-old had been touted as a possible RSA Novices' Chase contender before he had even jumped a fence in public, but this was not a performance to set pulses racing.

Paddy Power and Betfair agreed, leaving Ok Corral as a 25-1 shot for the RSA, although the same bookmakers did go 14-1 (from 25-1) for the National Hunt Chase at the festival.
