Normal life resumed with a winner for Daniel Muscutt after a taste of the big time with a near miss in the Arlington Million.

Having come within half a length of landing much his biggest victory on Fanciful Angel in Chicago on Saturday night, the Newmarket-based jockey made the rather shorter journey to Thirsk to take the 1m4f maiden on Nathalie.

"It was fantastic out there," he reflected, after an untroubled 1-2 victory on his only ride of the afternoon.
