Dettori picks up Fascinating Rock in quest for fifth Arc
Frankie Dettori has been handed the chance to win a fifth Arc in the week he celebrates the 20th anniversary of his Magnificent Seven after being booked to ride Fascinating Rock.
As long as last year's Champion Stakes winner comes through a gallop at Dermot Weld's Curragh base on Tuesday he will be Dettori's 28th mount in Europe's most valuable contest, sponsored by Qatar, which he won last year on Golden Horn.
Dettori said: "I've ridden in the Arc 27 times and won it four times so I was hoping a decent ride might come along, and I'm delighted one has in the shape of Fascinating Rock.
