Donald McCain was just "doing what he was told" when he took on Middleham Park's 81-rated Flat performer Fiveandtwenty last month, and he looks to have a nice prospect on his hands as the filly cruised to victory on her hurdles debut.

Fiveandtwenty won three times on the Flat for Mark Johnston before transferring to McCain and the three-year old wasted no time getting off the mark over hurdles as she destroyed the field by 26 lengths in the 1m7½f juvenile hurdle under Brian Hughes.

McCain said: "I watched her last run on the Flat at Nottingham and thought if she took to her hurdles she'd be ideal so we were looking forward to her running.
