Mia's Storm served notice of being the dominant force in the mares' division this season after coasting to victory in the first of the BHA-devised programme's Listed chases.

On just her second start over fences, the Alan King-trained seven-year-old dispatched a competitive field containing the winners of four Listed mares' chases last term with the minimum of fuss.

Wayne Hutchinson, who travelled to the Lincolnshire course for just the one ride, said: "She was impressive and you've got to remember that was only her second time over fences and she was going up against seasoned pros.
