Teenage jockey James Bowen was tipped for stardom after securing his first win under rules at the track where his elder brother Sean also landed the initial success of his career.

Bowen, 16, was coolness personified to secure victory on Curious Carlos, trained by his father Peter.

Gradually easing the 11-2 chance into the race, the top weight came through smoothly to lead at the last before beating Restraint Of Trade by three and a half lengths in the 2m1f handicap hurdle.
