Noah And The Ark, the horse at the centre of a hefty schooling-in- public fine for trainer Donald McCain, returned to action with victory under Harrison Beswick after a 30-day exclusion from racing.

McCain’s financial penalty was reduced to £2,500 (from £3,000) following an appeal at the BHA’s headquarters last month, with jockey William Kennedy’s suspension shortened to ten days (from 14) and the four-year-old granted an earlier-than-anticipated return after an original 40-day ban.

Stewards at Bangor last month deemed the ride broke rule 59.2, which states every jockey must give their horse a "timely, real and substantial effort".
