McCain steals the show at his local track with quick-fire treble

Donald McCain extended his outstanding record at Bangor with a 111-1 treble after Same Circus, a resurgent Knock House and The Some Dance Kid all scored under Brian Hughes.

The trainer, whose yard is located in nearby Cholmondeley, has won at the track more times than any other racecourse with 158 victories to date.

“I thought we might squeak one today, but I never thought we’d have a day like that,” said McCain. “Bangor always produces lovely ground so it’s easy to bring nice horses and support our local track.”
