Master blasters book their Good Friday Championships places

It proved a master class in the first fast-track qualifiers for the Good Friday All-Weather Championships at the course as first Master The World and then Gifted Master booked their places.

Master The World had slogged home 16th of 23 in last week's November Handicap on soft ground at Doncaster, but returning to the all-weather and a mile and a quarter Sean Levey charted a wide course after there was scrimmaging up the rail and they proved too strong for favourite Victory Bond in the Betway Churchill Stakes.

The six-year-old was adding a first Listed success but not his biggest payday as David Elsworth has guided him to Betfred Mile success at Goodwood last year, worth £93,000.
