Mann forgives O'Shea as pair team up to take military hurdle with Lex Talionis

Captain Charlie O’Shea landed his first success under Rules aboard Lex Talionis in the 2m4f military amateur riders’ handicap hurdle even though his tactics in the saddle did not all-together please winning trainer Charlie Mann.

The Upper lambourn-based trainer said: “The jockey actually did everything I asked him not to except be in front at the winning post – he has just about go himself out of jail in the circumstances.

“It’s a hard job to find anybody to ride the horse as many of the military jockeys are on call at the moment. I definitely wanted to run as it was a 0-115 handicap worth over £12,000 and that doesn't happen very often.
