Mahler's Promise delivers to the delight of Seamus Mullins

Mahler's Promise might not have been found by many when landing Newbury's maiden hurdle at 33-1, but he had clearly read the script on an emotional afternoon for the Seamus Mullins yard.
Mullins, who started training in 1991 and is based not far from Stonehenge, was absent as he attended the funeral of landlord Jane Bailey, whose late husband Peter trained from the same Salisbury stables in the 1970s and 1980s.
The shock success also removed Mullins from the cold list after a winless run stretching back to July.
