Everyone knows there is more to training racehorses than galloping them up hills, but Kate Harrington – standing in for her Cheltenham Gold Cup-winning mother Jessica – took things a step further when combining her role saddling Magic Of Light to win the Listed chase for mares' with a stint on the mic for Racing TV.

Harrington, who impressed on the network's Luck on Sunday show last week, was always due to head to Berkshire with the daughter of Flemensfirth and took advantage of the opportunity by shadowing RTV's Rishi Persad.

"It all fitted perfectly," said the 29-year-old, who will form part of the broadcaster's Irish coverage in the new year.
