Lyons plotting route to bigger pots after Noivado success
Noivado will be returning to Naas next month in search of a bigger pot after making all under Colin Keane in the 6f auction race.
Trainer Ger Lyons said: "The €100,000 Irish Stallion Farms auction race back here on October 16 is the plan for Noivado. It's over seven furlongs and I'm hoping he'll get it. He wasn't ready for seven furlongs the one time he ran over it but that was a few months ago.
"His win today was a timely boost for the yard and for owner Sean Jones after the injury Psychedelic Funk picked up on the gallops this morning. We were finalising his prep for the Middle Park on Saturday but he fractured his off-hind pastern and we'll wait and see what the vets have to say about his future."
