Lucrative summer ahead for in-foal Timeforwest
It was a bold move from Peter Fahey to throw the Sport Racing Club's mare Timeforwest in against a couple of higher-rated rivals in the Grade 3 Betway Chase, but it was a move that paid off in spades as she ground out a worthy victory.
Ridden by Donagh Meyler, Timeforwest was meeting the high-class Killultagh Vic on 24lb worse-than-handicap terms, but looked the winner as early as the third last when taking up the running.
Despite making an error at the final fence, she picked up well enough to hold off the rallying runner-up by half a length.
