Christmas was put on hold for owner David Lowe but it was more than worth the wait as he witnessed star sprinter Kachy return to action with an impressive victory in the feature 6f conditions stakes.

A familiar path will be followed with the 2015 Molecomb winner, aiming for back-to-back wins in the Cleves Stakes at Lingfield on February 2 before bidding to go one better in the Betway All-Weather Sprint Championship Conditions Stakes at the same track on Good Friday.

Kachy showed his usual scorching speed under Richard Kingscote and defeated Gulliver by six lengths, ensuring trainer Tom Dascombe passed the £1 million mark in prize-money in a year for first time.
