The best horses tend to have that little bit of character. Betfred Dante winner Roaring Lion has it in abundance.

Described by John Gosden’s travelling head lad Tony Procter as an enigma, the son of Kitten’s Joy has built up quite a reputation at Clarehaven Stables. It’s a good job he has the ability to match.

Procter has worked for Gosden for the past four seasons, experiencing Derby and Oaks glory with Golden Horn and Enable, and paid credit to jockey Kieran O’Neill, who rides the tricky grey at home.
