Adam Kirby had some strong chances as he went in search of his 150th victory of the year and he ultimately achieved the landmark on a spare ride with Raashdy causing an upset in the 1m½f maiden.

After suffering defeat on a couple of short-priced favourites, Kirby played the role of giant-killer on the 12-1 shot, trained and owned by Peter Hiatt, in a race in which 4-6 favourite Tarseekh finished out of the frame.

"Numerically it has not been as good as last year but I've had better winners which makes up for it," said Kirby, who gained two Group 1s in two days at Royal Ascot in June courtesy of Profitable and My Dream Boat.
