Kirby cleans up as curtain comes down on the Rowley Mile for 2017

Adam Kirby was laid low with the flu earlier in the week but you would not have known it on this year's final day of action on the Rowley Mile, where his treble included two Listed contests.

The reigning all-weather champion set himself up for another busy winter in determined fashion on Godolphin's progressive filly Hadith, who made all for a gutsy win in the British Stallions Studs EBF Montrose Fillies Stakes.

Charlie Appleby's filly was extending the good record of Sheikh Mohammed's organisation in this mile contest in which subsequent 1,000 Guineas winner Blue Bunting was successful in 2010.
