Alan King is a jack of all trades nowadays but he is also a master of plenty, as he showed with a memorable treble on three tracks in three different spheres.

After winning with Canelo over fences at Aintree and taking the Elite Hurdle at Wincanton with Sceau Royal, he landed the feature Betfair November Handicap on the last day of the turf Flat season with On To Victory.

It has been a good season for the trainer, highlighted by a treble at Royal Ascot in June, and winning jockey James Doyle said: "Alan has been a bit more prominent on the Flat scene and he's shown he can prepare all types of horses. He's done fantastic things on the Flat and I'm sure he's got a big team for next year as well.
