Kimberella lands second big sprint of the year

It may have come seven days too late, but having run well to finish fifth in the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup the week before, the tough Kimberella landed the day's feature 6f handicap with a convincing win over Boy In The Bar.

It was his second big-race win of the season as he also won the Sky Bet Dash at York in July. He ran off 99 that day and was on 104 this time, but it mattered not a jot as he came home by a length and a quarter to break the course record and give Silvestre de Sousa his second winner of the day.
