Kid runs down stablemate on George's day at Scone Palace

Tom George sent two runners on the 384-mile trip from Gloucestershire to Perth and the pair fought out the finish to the feature £15,000 chase.

Always On The Run started 9-4 favourite under stable jockey Adrian Heskin and made most of the running, but he was unproven over the three-mile trip and was caught by three-time course-and-distance winner Kilbree Kid (11-2), who scored by three and three-quarter lengths under Ciaran Gethings.

"It's great for Kilbree Kid but a shame for the other one after a solid run," George said. "I didn't want to run both but there are no other races for them.
