Kennedy back among Flat winners as Queen Alphabet reigns

Jack Kennedy had his first winner on the Flat since the Dundalk victory of Taglietelle last November, prompting trainer Peter Fahey to remark after Queen Alphabet's win that he "wasn't bad value for 3lb".

Kennedy had the lead to himself on the well-bred sister to Royal Alphabet and the pair coasted to a six-length success in the €12,000 1m4f handicap.

"Things didn’t work out for her last time at Killarney as it was a stop-start gallop and thankfully Ruby Walsh looked after her," Fahey said.
