Lizzie Kelly is relishing the chance to be part of history on Friday when she is set to become only the second female to ride in the Gold Cup.
Her only predecessor is Linda Sheedy, who in 1984 partnered 500-1 shot Foxbury, who was pulled up at the 13th fence in a race won by Burrough Hill Lad.
"Riding in the Gold Cup is going to be just the best thing ever. Before I think about where we might end up the fact I'm riding in it at this stage of my career is a massive privilege.
"The best thing about it is we can enjoy the journey and there's not so much pressure. To be able to say I've ridden in it will be a massive privilege."
