Pop Rockstar was reappearing just three days after winning at Haydock but you would not have known it judging by the way he won the 3m handicap hurdle.

The five-year-old is proving a handy vehicle for winning trainer Jonjo O'Neill's son Jonjo jnr, who rode the 7-4 chance with plenty of confidence to deny long-time leader On A Promise.

Pop Rockstar was not stopping at the death and will be kept busy according to his trainer, who said: "He didn't carry a penalty for Haydock so it made sense to come here and you may well see him again before Friday after that!"
