Did we see the Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner at Punchestown on Sunday? The chances are we did not, but we might just have seen a couple of smart recruits who will make up into top-grade performers given natural improvement.

Sky Bet Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle winner Andy Dufresne – who was dropped in trip after a shock defeat behind Latest Exhibition over 2m4f in December – showed an exciting turn of foot entering the home straight to challenge runaway leader Captain Guinness.

It could then have been assumed that he would have gone straight by that rival given the ease with which he made up three lengths and the fact his main market rival raced with the choke out for much of the contest.
