Joy of six: David Griffiths savours turnaround as Warrior's battles to victory

There have been no January blues in the David Griffiths stable as Warrior's Valley gave the Bawtry trainer a sixth victory for the month in the 5f handicap.

The new year has brought a big change in fortunes for Griffiths, who had previously sent out just five winners between August and December.

"We had a quiet finish to last year with no winners in November and December but a lot of them were hitting the crossbar," said the trainer. "Things are going great now and long may it continue – if I could get six winners every month, I'd be very happy."
