Jonjo O'Neill jnr, who has enjoyed a breakthrough season, did his hopes of a permanent job with Colin Tizzard's leading stable no harm when driving Sizing Platinum to a decisive victory in the feature 2m handicap chase.

O'Neill jnr, who won the Lanzarote on Big Time Dancer before capturing the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle on Early Doors at the Cheltenham Festival, was having only his sixth ride for Tizzard and was securing his third win for the Dorset trainer.

"Jonjo's riding out of his skin and kept sending him," said Tizzard's son and assistant Joe. "He's having a good time for us and we're going to use him as much as we can.
