Johnson Houghton dreaming of Royal Ascot with Time

Eve Johnson Houghton experienced a Bank Holiday to remember as she saddled three winners from six runners across the country, and was even dreaming of Royal Ascot glory after Optimum Time's impressive success in the 6f novice auction stakes.

Last year Johnson Houghton had to sit and suffer through a winless May, but she has started this campaign in much better form and is now into double-figures for the season, with nine of the winners coming this month.

She admitted to a sleepless night ahead of the debut of the well-backed Optimum Time, who had been showing up well at home and was the first two-year-old colt to represent the yard this year. But now connections can dream of Royal Ascot and the Chesham Stakes with the Manduro colt, who ran out a ready three-and-a-half length winner under Charles Bishop.
