Johnny Levins continues fine run as Dark Magic atones for stalls refusal

Johnny Levins has his team in flying form and the Curragh handler continued his bright start to the season when Dark Magic made up for refusing to enter the stalls at the same venue on Saturday to strike under an excellent Donagh O'Connor ride.

The Spellbound Syndicate-owned six-year-old had plied his trade on the all-weather at Dundalk in the early months of the year and built on his recent return to turf at Gowran when denying Accladora in the mile handicap.

"He's generally been very consistent apart from his little blip last time," said Levins, who has sent out three winners and four placed runners from his last 21 starters.
