'I've done all I can' - Murphy finishes repeat title bid with Southwell double

Champion jockey Oisin Murphy says he has done all he can in a bid for back-to-back titles after he rode a double on his final raceday of the campaign at Southwell.

Murphy flew out to the US for the Breeders' Cup meeting on Tuesday evening after Kitzbuhel and Lord Of The Glen extended his lead in the championship, which comes to a close on Saturday, to 13 wins over William Buick prior to the evening racing.

Breeders' Cup Mile favourite Kameko and Juvenile Turf hope The Lir Jet are Murphy’s mounts for the two-day spectacular at Keeneland, but he insists he will not be keeping tabs on the action back home.
