It was a wet and miserable in the west of Scotland, but Lucinda Russell wasn't complaining because Imjoeking enjoys this particular Saturday afternoon as he landed the £15,800 2m½f handicap chase for the second year in succession.

It was compensation for his owner Kenny Alexander whose Queens Cave had finished a close and honourable second in the Listed mares' bumper at Sandown.

Despite bring one of the first of the four runners to come off the bridle and meeting a spot of bother early in the straight, Imjoeking ran on in fine style for Derek Fox to get up in the last few strides to beat long-time leader Monbeg River by a neck.
