It's Bobby's day as odds-on Knockrobin throws away winning chance

Horses can be so frustrating at times and those who backed Knockrobin at 2-5 to win the 2m4f novice hurdle will be cursing their luck.

All seemed to be going to plan for the the Donald McCain-trained seven-year-old as he came down the hill to the last with a clear advantage.

He jumped it well enough but then pricked his ears and, not only began to pull himself up, he ducked right at the paddock exit 100 yards from home and nearly unseated rider Lorcan Murtagh.
