It's a day for the Obeaux as Elliott reaches century with four-timer

It was a day dominated by Gordon Elliott, as a 44-1 four-timer courtesy of Folsom Blue, Dinaria Des Obeaux, Hardline and Warlike Intent brought him to a century of winners for the season.

Before anyone starts leafing through record books, he reached this landmark four days later than he did last season, but it still puts him on track for a double century – a target he fell seven short of last season when he was overhauled for the trainer's title by Willie Mullins.

"I always start the season with the aim of having a hundred winners, so that's a relief," he said. And on the question of whether he could be champion trainer, Elliott added: "No chance!"
