'It gives me a bit of hope' - Tuer looking ahead as Glorious Angel wins again
Sunday: Southwell
Grant Tuer is looking to the future with Glorious Angel after she landed a second win of the month in the Class 4 7f handicap.
The Sam James-ridden three-year-old edged out Prince Nabeel by a neck to record back-to-back victories at Southwell, having scored at the track on January 8.
Tuer said: "I thought she did everything wrong in the race, but she still won and it gives me a bit of hope going forward.
"We'd probably like to bring her back in trip as I think seven furlongs looks like her limit and she's got too much speed for that distance."
Tuer, who registered 40 winners last year, added: "A couple of them have run moderately, but we've had a good start to 2023 and we've got some nice runners entered this coming week."
Form continues
Apprentice jockey Billy Loughnane struck with Comedian Leader in the Class 6 7f handicap to continue his red-hot form.
Loughnane was celebrating his seventh winner in two weeks after the Gay Kelleway-trained filly finished two-and-a-half lengths clear of Aberfoyle to land a second course-and-distance victory this month.
Maiden win
The Simon and Ed Crisford-trained Choisya got off the mark at the second attempt when claiming the fillies' novice stakes under Ross Coakley.
