It was not just at Cheltenham that the Irish were on top as Gavin Cromwell snuck in under the radar with Callthebarman, his first runner at the Cambridgeshire track, to snare the female riders' handicap hurdle.

There was more than just beer money around for Callthebarman, who was backed into 5-2 (from 6-1 in the morning) for the 2m contest and the four-year-old did not let down his supporters.

Successful jockey Rachael Blackmore has more experience than Cromwell at the track, and it showed.
