Christmas was only last week but Roger Varian is already looking forward to Good Friday with Invitational.

His filly earned a guaranteed place in the £150,000 Ladbrokes All-Weather Fillies & Mares Championship at Lingfield Park - which the trainer won with Realtra in 2017 - with success in a seven-furlong fast-track qualifier at Wolverhampton.

She wandered slightly but always looked set to hold on under Jack Mitchell, who also took the fillies' novice event on stablemate Nehaall.
